300 win mag: options for reducing recoil

I had a limbsaver mounted along with the muzzle brake.

Oh, check out a Knoxx recoil stock. They are an excellent option as well for heavy hitting rifle calibers. I think a 375H&H with a Knoxx would be a sweet setup

We've had the argument before.... I say it will decrease accuracy, some say it won't....

Be aware that removing the brake will probably change the POI so you will need to sight in again

IMO, much ado about nothing. They don't recoil much more than an '06. I've had one for 13 years, and it doesn't bother me in the least.

I'm running 180gr Gamekings at 2950fps or thereabouts.

I think USSR (Don) loads his '06 to similar velocities.

There's a caliber that can be a little stiff. Not unbearable by any means, but for load development, I do appreciate my PAST recoil pad. I think my rifle weighs 8-1/2 with the scope on it.

My problem was shooting prone. Standing and sitting I had no problems, but I was getting sore after a box of shells while prone so I decided to modify my rifle.
