Honestly jonnyc I don't know what you think is wrong with those posts. I think it's valid to point out that the .350 legend was designed for straight-walled only states. I can't say for certain that I'd be using a 350 if I wasn't in Ohio and limited to just a couple options for an AR. I might have something like a 6.8 spc instead if I could.
OP, something I don't think has been mentioned is reliability. Some cartridge/gun/magazine combinations don't work well in 350 legend and in general a long straight walled cartridge has the potential to suffer more with feeding issues over a bottle-necked cartridge in a semi-automatic. The various forums are full of different AR's in 350 that people have purchased and struggled to work well, or don't work with specific bullets/loads, or they've had to do surgury on their .350 legend magazines to get reliable feeding. So personally I'd wouldn't go bare bottom budget like a BCA and would instead get something like a CMMG. Even then, my CMMG doesn't like HSM 170g Spire Point, but has cycled every Winchester load from the 145g FMJ, the 150g XP and copper, and the 180g power point (which is what I settled on using).
