This is a favorite mid-range .357 load: 10.0 gr of Power Pistol under a Zero 125 gr JHP...I've been shooting them for a couple of years, but went to the range and ran them across a chronograph using a pair of Colt King Cobras, one 4" and one 6", to compare the difference. The test was from 15 yards using a decent rest. Groups were pretty good, but I'm sure would be tighter with a better shooter. The 4" averaged 1378 fps. The 6" averaged 1411 fps....about the difference I would expect.

*** There's a flyer under the trigger on the 6". If I had been trying to hide it, I would have done a better job.:D

Those Zeros have shot well for me in the past. 9.1 Grs of N340 is worth trying with them. It will be 50 to 75 FPS slower. I like 7.8 Grs of Unique as well, but it is an even lighter load.

Nice set of Cobras. :)

I had a bag of 100 or so of them loaded over 9.0 gr of Unique with me. They shoot equally well and about the same speed as the Power Pistol load....I am a big fan of Unique and load of alot of it. However, in this case Power Pistol may be a better choice because it meters better and burns a bit cleaner.
