So I am looking at reloading for a Marlin I bought the other day. I still don’t have a press yet as I’m working on deciding which one I need. But I can either go with Barnes 255 grain or Vollmer precision and try 220 or 255. The Vollmer are cheaper. I’m mostly hunting hogs and white tail deer. Is there a better or worse option. I have Barnes recommended load data. I may just buy some more already loaded ammo from Buffalo Bore while I decide. Thoughts on grain choice?

Size over bore is a personal and gun thing. I regularly shoot .310 bullets in 308 no problem. I am currently testing .311. In old lever actions the bore should be slugged to check. I don't have any idea if the business will change or not. You'll have to call or email to find out. You could also size the bullets a little if needed. Lee makes swaging dies that I use when processing my cast bullets. I would have no problem changing a dimension by .002 on most bullets. Testing is the only way to know for sure.

Looks like I can use the 379
Based on the name "Ballard" and the .379 diameter, that bullet is probably intended for .38-55, which has a .379 min groove diameter and .377 bullet. The .375 Win is designed around a .376 bullet and minimum groove, although your particular rifle might measure differently.
i think I could size them and then load them up and be good to go.
