one range I'd like to shoot 3 gun at requires carry slings on the rifles. I had a nice 3 point ninja sling on the FAL I use, but the cheekpad I've got precludes use of that sling. The pad is an eagle industries shooters pak (basically a wrap around buttstock pad, with a pouch on one side and lammysuade on the other.), it fits my face well and I don't want to stop using it. The 3 point sling attached to the rear of the buttstock using wrap around nylon and velcro. That pretty much leaves me with two options, buying the schnider connector plate that goes between the buttstock and lower receiver and buying a single point sling. Or buying a sling swivel ferrule and screws and attaching the ferrule to the place on the stock where it is cut for one, then buying a traditional carry sling. The total cost of the first option would be 40 (25 for the sling and 15 for the plate). I don't know the total cost of the second option. Any ideas or comments?
