.44 spcl vs. .45 LC for self defense?

I posted an identical thread over on the firing line, so maybe some of you were counted twice. The results so far:

.45LC - 10
.44spcl - 7
Undecided - 8

The results are somewhat like I figured they would be, 6 of one, half dozen of the other. I think I'll go with the .45LC though.

In addition to the aformentioned CCI Blazer and Georgia Arms factory loads, Speer offers a 250gr. JHP at 900fps as well. Winchester also has a 225gr. Silvertip JHP.

44Spes\cial vs. .45LC

My persnal preference IMHO is the .44 S&W Special, just like thqt cartridge. Normally carry a SA Loaded Micro Compact but for those whhegun days a Taurus 445 Ultralite like this.
