If you find the recoil of your lightweight .44 a bit stout, you might try using Glaser .44 Specials for serious social work and public sanitation. The Glaser has a lighter charge, but velocity to make up the difference.
I tried them in .357 and thought for sure they were squib loads until I examined the targets (various water filled containers)!
As a plus, there were no exit holes, and riccochet factor is very low with the prefragmented projectile.
