As the title says I'm thinking about loading up some 220 grain hollow base wadcutters up. I have quite a few different powders from unique to trailboss.

I also have some 175 grain hollow base flat point bullets.

Anyone here ever load any 45 colt hollow base wadcutters? If so what was a good load for your particular gun.

I know 44 special, but he does some hollow base in there.

I used to load the Lyman 450225 (I think that is the number) designed for the Remington C&B revolver in the 45 Colt. About 160 grains, hollow based, semi wadcutter. It was the only way I could get a few replica Single Actions to print poa rather than 8-13"'high at 25 yards.

Mine is .454 hollow base flat point 175 grains.
I've wonsered about usung them in cap and ball revolvers.
I'll probably load a few up with blackmz thr black powder substitute to try. I'll also load some up with real black powder.
Unique, red dot, tight group, hp38,trail boss etc... Are some powders I have on hand
