6.55x55 for predator hunting

any ideas on a load for predator hunting? rifle is a ruger mkII in 6.5 swede.

Lets not just limit to a Ruger........Lets add CZ and Tikka into the predator reloading mix.

I have a Rem 700 classic that likes 43 gr of Reloader 15, cci 200 primers and100 grain Nosler BT. It is pushing around 3100 fps on the chrono. I've shot
51 grs of Reloader 19 with good results too. These are near max so go slow.

These ballistic tips are pretty rough of the hides if you are wanting to get anything mounted or rugged.

They shot very well in my 260, too.

I don't really consider my 6.5 x 55 (customized M-96 Mauser) a varmint gun, but I have used it on more than a few called coyotes. Works great--as will about any decently accurate rifle. I generally use 120 or 125 gr bullets for this application. Have fun!!!
