Anyone use their lowers/uppers or know anything about em?

Wanted to pick up a couple stripped lowers and the last show gun show I went to.. All I was running across was Spikes (Not into caricatures) Anderson and Aero.

Aeros are a bit nicer fit and finish, Andersons are cheaper. If I could buy Aeros at Anderson prices, that's all I would buy.

Aero scope mounts are one of the best on the market. I've tried 2 of their uppers and had minor fitment issues with both, which neither PSA, Anderson, Colt, NFA or DPMS has had. One Aero upper had a bad dust cover (wouldnt close all the way) and the other was slightly off kilter, fitting all my lowers crooked (rear end was off to right side).

I've used them exclusively for my builds. I like them and even the Cerakoted set fit everything great and made the upper/lower fit really snug. I have plans to build a .308 on their M5 receivers someday.

Aero Precision USA is a division of Aero Precision, an aerospace manufacturing company in Tacoma, WA. I urge you to check their websites to ascertain the difference in products.

I've used Aero M4 AR-15 products [www.aeroprecisionusa.com] since their introduction and consider them top shelf in the AR industry. Lots of AR companies offer stripped upper/lower receiver sets but my experience has been that any Aero lower will mate exceptionally well to any Aero upper. The company offers matched lower/upper sets in its catalog but I haven't taken advantage of the price break.

Now that the AR-10 platform differences seem to be worked out in the marketplace, Aero is producing uppers, lowers and accessories under their M5 designation.

Aero's finishing and anodizing is uniform, quality control is exceptional and customer service is top-rate. Their engineering is innovative...for instance, check their COP systems for AR platforms.

Can't recommend them enough at their very reasonable prices.

Although I can generally see no difference between my Anderson lower and my Aero lower, or my DPMS upper and my Aero upper, they are generally considered one of the best on the market.

Forgot to mention that I take advantage of the tapped hole at the rear of the receiver to retain the rear take down pin spring/detent. I change things fairly frequently and its one less thing to fumble with. I think it is 4-40 if memory serves me. Note that I had to trim the spring slightly to use the set screw. No problems whatsoever.

I've had great experiences with Aero Precision USA uppers and lowers. I find the fit really great. The Cerekote examples that I've had were also very nicely done and matched well.

I have one Aero precision lower/SOTA upper that is a really good shooter. This was my first AR purchase (previous experience had just been shooting my brothers) and I am pleased with my rifle.

This peaked my interest in "building" my own AR15. All the web research I did it seemed the majority had positive experiences with Aero.

So I ordered me a "Freedom" model lower from them, ordered a PSA LPK, and stock kit and assembled my first lower. Next I decided to just buy a complete upper and I chose an Aero M4E1 but they were out of stock. Since this was my first build I emailed them in regard to the status of the upper coming back in stock. Within 24 hours I had a reply from them telling me the upper could be expected to be in stock the following week. And that was correct, I kept checking the website and missed the next batch (this was my fault because I never logged in on their website, so it was showing out of stock, but if I had logged in it would have showed in stock).

So I emailed them again to check when they could be expected back in stock a second time. Again, within 24 hours I had a reply telling me it would be approximately 1-2 weeks before they were back in stock. This time I logged in and 10 days later I had my upper on order and I received it within one week from when I placed my order.

I put the Aero upper on the Aero lower and they fit very good together. and the black finish on each match really nice.

I by no means am an AR15 expert, but I am learning the platform. Been mainly a bolt action guy. But just wanted to share my very positive experience in dealing with Aero as a new customer.

Edit: If you order from Aero direct make sure you sign up for their "Weekly Deals", this saved me $30 on my BCG & Charging Handle, plus everything was Free Shipping so that was an added bonus too.

Have built 4 rifles on Aero recievers, including my personal carbine. Everything's in spec, fit's nice and tight in my experience. I like em, they're not the cheapest thing in the market anymore, but they ARE made near my neck of the woods. I like to joke that, if i ever have a problem with them that they won't take care of, i can always drive to the factory and throw it through the window with a note attached. Lol

I have used at least a dozen Aero upper and lower receivers and have found them to be well made and always within proper specifications. The company also produces barrels, rails and small parts, their LPK's are an excellent choice. The Gen II receivers come with a nylon tipped screw to tighten upper and lower receiver fit.

I just got an Aero stripped lower. I appears to be very high quality. Its extremely well finished. I have three Anderson lowers that I built. They are not finished as well, but I see so little difference in them that I'm not going to take them apart to exchange one of them with the Aero. I've fitted my uppers onto the semi stripped lower (it has pins and a mag catch now). I find that the Aero more precisely follows the contours of the upper.

But, all lowers seem to be created functionally equal. Some are just prettier than others.

So I guess I start collecting parts again for the Aero.

I got one of their lowers for my first build. Put it together with Palmetto/magpul parts and a complete DD upper. It's a great gun. I just installed a Rock River 2-stage trigger in it in fact.

I don't have much other experience but it seems the quality of this part is at least as good as my other AR, a complete RRA rifle. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

For a little while they were also building lowers that had fire control markings with, shall we say, a sense of humor :D Mine has "Safe" at the expected location but where the lower is usually marked "Fire" - mine says "I'M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY"

A buddy of mine got their "PEW PEW" lower for his 9mm build... fun times.

As good as anything on the market. I use Aero uppers exclusively for my builds now. I won't use another Anderson after I bought two and both had a receiver face that was badly out of square, resulting in crooked handguards. I have 5 or 6 Aero uppers and have never had that issue or any other.

Everything I have read .. says Aero uppers and lowers the way to go compared to Anderson.

I would feel comfortable buy a set from Aero.

I'm pretty sure Aero does or at least did make Spikes stuff. I seem to recall seeing that back when spikes was starting up.
