bomgaars feed stores are having a sale on the Aguila 22 at 2.99 a box of 50. In store only and while supplies last.
Bought 10 boxes down at the Lawrence store just cause I was in town anyway and it's good for plinking, possums and coons.

Update: Price listing to below $30/500 and include lowest price CCI SV, CCI MiniMag, Blazer 40 gr (ETA: Popular ELEY/SK/Norma/Wolf Match on next post):

I'll keep the premium stuff off the thread.
people buy the spendy stuff because they need that level of precision. I am sure those who need that appreciate a tip about where it can be obtained, and especially at a lower price than the norm.
OK, here's my trial run of select (Seemingly popular) match 22LR:

Besides CCI SV 1/2"-3/4" groups, Aguila 40 gr LRN and CPRN BOXED have produced next smallest 50 yard groups for me of 3/4"-1" groups at 50 yards with accurized 10/22 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...22lr-on-the-cheap.898035/page-2#post-12304052

Cabelas and Bass Pro in Georgia have their store brand- Harverty or something like that, for $31 a bulk box of 500. That's as cheap as you gonna' get around here.

They are Winchester made and rebranded and you can even tell by looking at them they are Wjn Super X bullets. The case, powder and primer compound may or may not be the same. IDK?

AND... I wanted my LGS to get me some
Armscor 36 gr Hollow Points because I love them and they are usually cheaper than a lot if them... They are super consistent and accurate and they have an excellent wax lube on them.

Anyhoooo.... To get the "volume discount" I had to buy a 5000ct case and they wanted $400 + tax. Pass on that one.

I am noticing several vendors advertising lowest priced 22LR adjusting prices up and down repeatedly since post #337 mainly Mutiny Machine on Armscor 36 gr CPHP ($21-$22/500) and Skogen Gun Supply on Aguila 38/40 gr CPHP/RN (Steady increase from $25 to $27/500). This could be from previous shipments being sold out and new pricing reflecting adjusted wholesale pricing or price adjustment compared to competitors' price change.

If you are looking for the most accurate non-match 22LR, it's CCI SV (Produced 1/2"-3/4" groups at 50 yards mostly 1/2") and pricing has steadily come down and currently stable at $334/5000 - https://www.aeammo.com/products/cci-35-076683000354-5c16-case-5666

Beebe Family has next lowest price of CCI SV at $3.45/50 and free shipping on $200+ orders - https://shopbfam.com/product/cci-0035-standard-velocity-22-lr-40-gr-lead-round-nose-lrn-50-bx-100-cs

Next most accurate non-match 22LR is Aguila 40 gr LRN boxed, not loose bulk (Produced 1/2"-3/4" groups at 50 yards mostly 3/4") and current lowest pricing is $2.68/50 + free shipping on $200+ orders - https://shopbfam.com/product/aguila-1b222332-standard-22-lr-40-gr-solid-point-50-bx-100-cs

Followed by Aguila 40 gr CPRN boxed, not loose bulk (Produced 3/4"-1" groups at 50 yards mostly 3/4") and current lowest pricing is $2.68/50 + free shipping on $200+ orders - https://shopbfam.com/product/aguila...-40-gr-copper-plated-solid-point-50-bx-100-cs

22LR ammunition comparison testing - Recent days rain has stopped for today with chance of rain tomorrow but good news is no rain forecasted for upcoming week so looks like I will finally be able to start the 40+ brands/weights/lots 22LR comparison testing. In addition to 10/22 and T/CR22, BCA 22LR upper heavy barrel is being added to testing for those curious about 22LR AR accuracy. Also, Advantage Arms 22LR slide kit for Gen3 Glock 22 with scoped mount is being added to test pistol accuracy at 25 yards - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...r-ammunition-comparison.908102/#post-12724211

Bought three bricks of these a couple of weeks ago. Best price I've seen a some time. ELEY primed if that means much.
I stocked up on Aguila when they were both "ELEY prime" and "Aguila prime". Initially, I thought ELEY prime produced smaller groups but during 10,000+ round 50 yard testing, "Aguila prime" composite groups of 40 gr CPRN produced similar groups as "ELEY prime" of 3/4"-1" groups.

AFAIK, Aguila switched from "ELEY prime" to "Aguila prime" when the licensing was not renewed by ELEY. I started seeing the switch from "ELEY" to "Aguila" around 2019 and since it's all been "Aguila prime".

Even match ammunition now shows "Aguila prime" - https://www.aguilaammo.com/products...long-rifle-standard-velocity-solid-lead-point

So if you are buying "ELEY prime" Aguila 22LR ammunition, they are new old stock of several years.

Wouldn't doubt that at all. It shoots plenty good in my Marlin 25N and Marlin 39A tho.

Maybe it’s new-old stock? It seems like the past several years all I have seen is “Aguila-prime” stuff.

I like the Eley-prime stuff, too. I still have several bricks and lots of 50-round boxes of the Eley-prime stuff from several years ago.

Stay safe.

Just had 5000 CCI SV delivered yesterday for $0.064 each. Seems to be about the best price shipped. Now, how to best clean the junk off my all aluminum suppressor that I cheaped out on when purchasing, LOL. My kids seem to think shooting daily in our backyard range is fun.

Yes. At this point, any Aguila marked "ELEY prime" is new old stock before circa 2019 as any new production 22LR should be "Aguila prime"
