Affordable 22LR (Lowest shipped pricing)

Nice but 10 boxes of 5000 rounds adds $34.49 in shipping which comes out to $334.39/5000 shipped.

I sure was hopping there was free shipping ... :)
Literally the same price after shipping as AE ammo is with their free shipping.

I don't think it's going to go much lower given the election cycle.

they had the Aguila Super Extra 40 gr CPSP at 1255 fps for $ 2.49/50 ct box so 4.98 cents per round so $24.9/500 with Natchez yesterday. also had received an email with $5 shipping above $99.99. ended up ordering 2500 rds or 50 boxes by phone. it was a little suspicious in that my order was going to go through when the basket was adding on some old items i had in it but when i cleared it and only had the 22lr for $124.5 it wouldn't go through. did this multiple times throughout the day and then decided to place the order by phone and got the deal on shipping. i think this is the ammo my 617 liked.

Beware of AMMOPLANET.COM!!! There is also an AMMO-PLANET that is a different company. Was trying to find AMMOPLANET.COM phone number but cannot find one, nor is there an email address. They did send an email to me after I made the order. Here is the scam rating for AMMOPLANET.COM:

Sunday morning I made an order for a case of 5000 the Aguila .22 ammo for $2.09 a box. After emailing them today, Thursday, I received a shipping notice this evening. Contents shown is 50 rounds! Also I checked the weight of the package and it's 25lbs. I weighed a case and it's 40lbs. I don't know what's going on but please be aware that there's no phone number and two different companies with very similar names. I just filed a dispute as they haven't shipped, only made a label supposedly. I thought the websites listed here were known to be legit. I suspect it's just a mistake due to the very similar names. I did a scam-detector check before I ordered and made the mistake of reading the legit site's rating. Thought you guys might like to know.

Edit: I had emailed them last night saying that I ordered 100 boxes, not one box and a case of .22 weighs 40lbs, not 25lbs. This morning, Nov. 3, I receive an email saying they found my order and it's being shipped in two separate shipments that each weigh 25lbs. I don't expect any delivery. My card company cancelled the transaction bypassing the dispute process and is sending me a new card. I will update if anything else happens.

Btw I wasn't blaming anyone for the error. I obviously made the same mistake myself. I probably searched "is Ammo Planet legit" instead of Ammoplanet.

Aguila 40 gr LRN for $2.09/50 ($35 shipping on 100 boxes) was posted by @Mk-211, not me. Vendors I list for this thread are filtered through AmmoSeek.com (Or from my own personal purchase experience like SGAmmo, TargetSports, etc.) - https://ammoseek.com/ammo/22lr?sh=lowest&ekw=bolt action

Do let us know and update how your order is processed and thanks for the heads up.

Guess I'm the only one that just heads down to one of several of my local Wal-Marts to buy 22lr at a good price without any shipping fees added to or hidden in the price.

I prefer to stick with CCI SV but usually check a few different shops to get the better price. I have found Tac22 priced better from time to time and will purchase it also. Both are pretty accurate for the cost but CCI SV is more consistaint between lots and will give less flyers (IMO).

I have a pretty good stack of 22LR ammo that is cheap but not much good. Pretty much a waste of money and unusable unless you just want to make noise and don't care if you hit the same place every time. I wouldn't suggest that for anyone.

You do realize some Walmart stopped selling ammunition, even 22LR some years ago?
They still sell 22lr. They stopped selling centerfire handgun ammo, 223/556, 7.62x39, 300blk. I'll stop by the next Walmart I pass by to snap some pictures.

No need to snap pictures.

Since my retirement 4 years ago on the 4th of July (My day of independence from work), wife and I made several coast-to-coast trips from CA (upper states to PA and down to TX, lower states to gulf of TX/AL, already made trips to IL/FL/GA and several west coast trips from CA to WA prior to retirement) and several trips to Midwest due to our sisters moving to Texas and Nebraska.

During these trips, we stopped at many Walmart to purchase food and travel supplies and believe me, many stores in some states have stopped selling ammunition, even 22LR.

You kind of moved the goalpost there from your orginal response. Could it be a possibility that those stores were sold out of 22 ammo during those time frames? I did a quick Google search and here's a recent forum post from April of this year via the IndianaGunOwners' forum that corroborates what I stated. I'm in Virginia FYI.... Dozens of Walmarts in my state, in Louisiana, and in other states still sell 22lr, shotgun, and rifle ammo. Stores are sticked with sticks, bricks, and buckets of 22lr in my area.

They specifically stopped selling centerfire handgun ammo and ammo associated with "assault rifles/pistols," but had a corporate policy to stop selling anything else ammo related. Heck, they even still sell 308 ammo even though the AR10, AK47, Fal, G3, SCAR, M1A SOCOM, Tavor, Galil Ace, etc popular "assult rifles" that are chambered in it. There's no logic to it.

I will agree that a handgun of Walmarts in my area and around the country that use to sell hunting rifles and ammo no longer do, but for the most part many Walmarts around the country that sell ammo have no prohibition against sell 22lr.

You are fortunate to live in your state.

No. Walmart in Grants Pass, Oregon (My parents retired there) stopped selling all ammunition, including 22LR some years ago and have not restocked them.

I addressed that and agree. Some Walmarts locals, even in my area, stopped selling guns and ammo. Others still sell it. We are in agreement there.

(I also mistook your original comment to me to mean that Walmart stopped selling 22lr ammo everywhere years ago. My mistake.)

Walmarts a little west of Atlanta still sell 22lr but their prices on boxes are not competitive, bulk prices are a little better, they cut their gun and ammo cabinets by at least 50%.
