Hi

I own a 12-gauge Stoeger SP-312 pump shotgun, for fun & home defense. I think i want to add an underbarrel flashlight to it, so I'm looking for recommendation on inexpensive brand / model.
I do not need long range or some uber-bright flash - just a practical light source that will allow target recognition / aiming at 15-20 yards, and will withstand recoil of the 12 ga.

PS i had a Chinese-made WolfEyes flashlight that had a POS barrel clamp made of soft aluminum and it died after less than 50 rounds of buckshot.

So, shall i go for Surefire or are there any less expensive but reliable models?

Thanks

I'm trying out a Streamlight TLR-1. It will be around 100 bucks, +50 bucks for the remote switch setup, and another bit to get a mount. I'd say about 200 in all, much less than a Surefire fore end, which I don't think is even made for that model. You won't ever go wrong with surefire, and I love their lights, but their mounted lights are just too pricey right now for me.

I have a TacStar T-6 and it really puts a nice spot out and they run just under $50 and not sure what a pressure switch runs, mine already had them on it when I bought it...

I don't know of a Surefire G6, only the G2 and G3. There is also the 6P and 9P. Are you sure you have the model name right on that jay?
