I bought this Beeman R7 (HW 30) over 30 years ago for $159. I still have it and was shooting it yesterday to check the zero with some of those lead-free Gamo pellets. It did not care for those Gamo's, but it will still shoot one ragged hole, at 30' all day, with lead wadcutters.

I used it to dispatch a couple of rogue rabbits that were enjoying my pea patch too much this summer.

I figure it has had ~10,000 pellets put through it, so I was thinking of getting a tune-up kit for it next year.

BTW, this sub-forum was a great idea. I am looking forward to browsing about to see what folks are using these days.
You have to be careful with lead free pellets being they are to light and do not give enough resistance to the spring and could damage seal and spring if shot to much

due to tyrolean envy....

1985 Beeman (Webley) Hurricane, Baikal MP-46M, Daisy Avanti 753 with homemade stock spacer, 1979 Walther LGR Match.

The stocks on the Baikal and the Walther are fantastic.

The latest addition to the 10 meter basement range. Bought to compete in local AP 60 competitions and to practice NRA Conventional Pistol (Bullseye) Timed and Rapid Fire. It's like driving a Porsche in the mountains.

Ms. Cleo has nothing on Thomas Rink. I didn't know what exactly to do with the protective lumber the Baikal shipped with so I took a chance and sent my hand dimensions to Rink, and damned if he didn't get it perfect. The Steyr will wear another Rink soon since the grip isn't quite right, even after some discreet fiddling.

The only grips I've had better are Dick Horton's custom grips (made here in the USA!), which are both a work of art and functionality.

Finally took a picture...
The IZH is the back up gun. The FWB is my match gun...though it is old tech using CO2.

A beautiful pair of pistols. I'm getting by with my old faithful Daisy 747 pistol, which is a great beginner's target air pistol. Its still probably more accurate than I am.

I really itch to get a real competition grade 10M pistol like one of yours, but I just can't seem to justify $500 to over $1000 for a pistol I'll probably only ever shoot in my own basement.

The late Don Nygord won a national championship with an air pistol very much like yours.

My latest pick-up. Baikal 60. This is the 4th Izhmash plant product I own, but the first airgun one. ;)

Tallpaul, I have an absolutely mint 124D (safe queen and I have little interest in airguns anymore). I have shot the thing about 100 times over the last thirty years - just sits in the safe - it is so pristine that I defy anyone to consider the condition other than new. With that said, where would you suggest I post it for sale and what would you ask for it? I thought about selling it some time ago but pulled the idea and kept it. No box but original ppwk and such - gun is absolutely pristine. Thanks for your help.

Baikal

Here is a Baikal that I picked up some years ago.
I had an extra Anschutz sight and put that on ....way better than the stock iron.

Not as 'high-brow' as some of the others posted here, but this was the first air rifle I ever bought - a 14th birthday present to myself. A Crosman *A*I*R*17*:

Just recently got it out of storage and cleaned her up. The magazine contained some items:

1 P38 can opener - never know when you're going to be hungry and happen across some stray C rations...
2 metal clips, like those you'd find on a duffle bag strap - ???
1 Quarter, circa 1977 - to call home I imagine (at least there were phone booths back then)
1 receipt - purchased in 1988 from Kmart for the grand sum of $39.97 + tax
all wrapped in a kleenex (to prevent rattling), and starting to rust.

Apparently I wasn't much of a 'prepper' at 14.

I also have a chinese B3-1, but nobody wants to see that POS.
