Dear All
I want to ask you of your opinions on the AKS7U 5.45x39.

I personally really like it for its compact size and very mild recoil. Not to forget the AK reliability and durability.

I have one for many years and I am very satisfied with it. The extended 45rd magazine and compactness is just perfect.

Any thoughts?

I think as long as you stocked up on ammo when surplus was available and cheap, thats fine ...

But, since I didn't, I'll be content with my M85 (223) and M92 (7.62x39)

Nice pair! Basically the same platform in same size especially the one in 223.

Yes I did stock up on the ammo although its never enough.

Kimberkid, how is the top stock attached? Does it screw into the rear trunnion? How do you like it compared to the bottom (under the handle) model?

I’ve got the bottom style, It’s never fallen off but it never really felt solid. You might have better luck with yours.
