Am I pushing coated bullets too fast?

Have seen the scraping with both a standard RCBS expander and a Lyman M expander.

Just seated and pulled a different brand Hi-Tek coated bullet. No observed scraping of the coating. But just a sample of one so far. I will be loading a few hundred of them in a few weeks.

I like the noe expanders because you can get them to match the bullet size. When guys are boring their cylinders larger it seems to really help.

I've had that problem with powder coated bullets like Blue Bullets, so I started seating and crimping in two different steps, but I don't think that's what your problem is, or the expander.

I think the others are right about the Hi-Tech coating is not adhering to the bullet for whatever reason.
