Americans bought enough guns on Black Friday to arm Marine Corps!

What is this in op about the number of long guns limited to 30?

Is this right?
Ha ha, no! No worries. You can have as many as you want. Hundreds? Thousands? Not a problem!

I THINK the OP was referring to how many firearms you could buy from a dealer on ONE form number 4473. (Seller's record of transfer.) The instructions on the form don't actually list a maximum number. The form has five blanks for individual guns but then says the dealer can attach another piece of paper to record however many more are being transferred.

So you are totally ok! Come on over! :)

Happy to be one of them!
I picked up a Maverick 88 12 Ga for my son for Christmas, $169 at Dick's, Maybe now he won't hog my 870 when we go shooting.

I thought every ffl sale required a background check? I have a CC permit, but still have to do the NCIS check, but the state pays the $7.50 fee.

Obama era gun background checks, greatest firearms salesman in history. 12,709,023 NICS checks in 2008 lets shoot for 25,418,046 in 2016 so he will have contributed to a doubling of background check.

The number breaks down to slightly more than two background checks per second, or enough firearms to arm each of the 182,000 active duty members of the United States Marine Corps.

Then we need a bigger Marine Corps.

He's probably the greatest ammunition salesman too. :)

Sam is correct, I was trying to say 30 long guns on a single form 4473, then you would need a second form but you can buy as many as you want. And that could have just been the policy of my local FFL but that's what I was told, not that it ever came up. Most I ever bought at once from a dealer was 6 or 8 I think (gotta love when the Police trade in their confiscated items for new service weapons).

My son bought him and me two Yugo M70AB2 Kalashnikovs on one 4473.

I bought my wife a revolver and a shotgun on one 4473.

The 4473 has at least five lines for guns.

Now, we have been warned that buying two guns of the same make, model, and caliber, or multiple purchases in the same month may put us under scrutiny as suspected dealing without a license (TN/VA border area).

ADDED: Some state agencies use the NICS to do non-gun transfer checks (such as checking federal records on carry permit holders). So the (multiple gun purchases on one NICS check) - (non-purchase NICS checks) ~= (gun sales number).

Ummmm, there is no fee to use NICS. That $7.50 is something your State is adding on. Time to write some letters to repeal the "poll tax" they are levying on non CC permit holders!

Tw AR lowers here on a MI CPL (no NICS call). The dealer even was giving a $10 discount for CPL holders on lowers!

In the last year, I've purchased seven firearms. All but one were FTF sales without a background check. Perfectly legal in Wyoming. The one sale through an FFL did not require a background check because I have a concealed carry permit. So my numbers aren't included in the yearly background check statistics.
