3 rifles+4 shotguns+1 handgun= 10 guns?
Must be that "New Math".
And just how would "closing" the FTF "loophole" stop your typical gangbanger? :uhoh:

Not only did Samaha buy 10 guns in one hour with incredible ease and no questions, he could have turned around and sold those same guns right in the parking lot.
Wouldn't this constitute being a dealer without a FFL?
anyone can buy a gun from a private dealer with no background check and no questions asked
Really? Please define "private dealer". :scrutiny:
I thought ALL dealers (except maybe CMP) were private dealers. If we're talking FTF, then cannot by definition be a dealer. All dealers are required to be FFL licensed, are they not?

Good grief.

I think someone should do a show called Crack-n-5. Give someone five minutes to buy crack. Oh heck, that won't work. Crack is illegal. Silly me!

At least a lot of people now know they can buy a gun privately without paperwork, permits, et cetera. Many do not know this, and it has intimidated them heretofore from joining the club. Thank you, ABC.

Great, now all the crack dealers will know they don't have to settle for cheap stolen guns, they can buy them legally in the parking lot of the next gun show...

For one I am totally against any Gun registration. Even the dealer one we have on the books now.

Having said that I am interested in that he was able to purchase guns twice from a licensed dealer without paperwork.

In effect bribing them with extra money to avoid doing it. He openly admitted he broke the law.

I have never in my life attempted to bribe a licensed dealer to sell me a gun without paper work. Because I know its illegal.

The only guns I will purchase anymore are through friend to friend transactions because I don't believe in Gun registration period.

If they outlaw friend to friend I will do it anyways. It's not a loophole.... Its a freedom.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be INFRINGED.

What part of infringed don't you understand.

We gave Samaha $5,000 and one hour to see how many guns he could buy,

Straw purchase. Why was this person not charged?

Former ATF agent Gerald Nunziato was with Samaha at the gun show in Richmond, Va.

Maybe that's why Nunziato is a FORMER ATF agent. He abetted in those straw purchases.

Since when are the media elite and their lap dogs immune from prosecution of federal laws? The only laws that were broken at that gun show were by the ABC producers, the commentator, and their 2 willing accomplices. I don't care how high and mighty they think they are doing "God's work". They broke the law and should be prosecuted.

Funny how the tv crew waited for him to come back out in the parking lot. How do we know he didn't go inside and have to do background checks and there was no camera around to conveniently film it?
+1
So we are to trust that this person, who has an admitted motive to do away with the gun show loop-hole, has told us exactly and truthfully what went down with each sale?

Cho didn't go to a gun show

He bought his guns at a store, after passing Federal background checks.

Semi-auto assault weapon?

That would be similar to someone referring to an organism as a single celled tree rabbit. Makes no sense.

Your right it could have been a film production. He may not have even went into the gun show at all. Just had a prearranged person hand him the guns inside the lobby area, wait a few minutes and take the gun out put it in the trunk and head back.

I think the best thing we can do is to stay on ABC's butt about this. Flood there office with telephone calls, flood there website with e-mails. I already sent an e-mail to them explaining my disgust with them. As far as the straw purchase that has been brought up a few times in this thread, has anyone bothered to contact the ATF and have them look into it? Maybe we should organize a protest outside of their corporate office about this "masterpeice" that they have created? Surely that would draw some attention and maybe they would allow us to voice our side. What really pisses me off about the whole thing is that they show a face to face transaction and call it "The gunshow loophole" what BS!

Guys... Slow down and relax. Writing ABC won't do a bit of good. They don't like guns and they don't like gun people, so they will be delighted if they find out you're upset.

There is a better way.

It's late, but tomorrow the Old Fuff will explain how to tie a tin can on their tail. Since you're in a mood to write letters (which is good) send them where they'll do some good. ;)

Funny how these TV networks are so for preventing violence yet they show programs like LOST where guns are used in every episode.

Am I missing something here?

Who do I need to call to express my displeasure at not prosecuting these felony gun violations?
I would start with the richmond va police dept. here is the operations number abd address (804) 646-1412 - 301 S Meadow St, Richmond, VA

Even though Samaha immediately turned in all the weapons he bought at the gun show to the Richmond Police Department,
So if I rob a bank and give the money directly to the police its ok right? especially if 20/20 was doing a show on how easy it is to devoid a bank of cash...........
