recently purchased a stripped anderson mfg upper and lower for $45 each. The dealer had an anderson m4 profile 5.56 barrel for $90 but I wanted a 300 blackout build.

I looked up anderson's 16" 300 aac blackout barrel and it goes for just over $100. has anyone used anderson barrels and how is the quality? I previously built a complete cmmg 300 blackout and that was well over $1200. This build if I use all anderson parts (plus handguard of my choice) should be just over $600. i use it for hunting and will serve as a backup or loaner gun. besides with the political thing going on, i may not see parts in a long time or ever again.

I have used two Anderson barrels in 5.56, one 16" and another 10.5". They both have acceptable accuracy for me.

i briefly inspected the anderson 5.56 barrel. seems like any other barrel but the price. my cmmg barrel cost me almost twice as much and sometimes they say you get what you pay for... as long as it's decently accurate, i'll give it a try. again this will mainly be shot withing 50-100 yards max.

I built one from a complete kit. The Anderson 556 barrels are all 4150 steel. They also offer chrome lined. They are good accurate barrels IMO. Can't tell you about the 300 BLK...

My rifle has an Anderson 556 barrel on it. It went together easy, and shoots well. It won't win any long range matches, but for general shooting, it is plenty accurate. For 50-100 yards a golf ball is in serious trouble if I can see it.
