Friend of mine sent me this link, because a co-worker of his came up with this and he asked my opinion. While I am not "the" expert on 1911s, I do own several and after watching the video, I had kinda a "meh" opinion. Don't know if this has been posted before, but I thought I'd ask here what others thought.

easy pass....not telling us where they are made, no videos on performance, unknown quality, etc, etc.
yeah, kinda where I was at. Seems to be using a local source for frames and slides and using readily available universal 1911 parts for the rest. Seems to be the brainchild of Mankato Guns...........

“A firearm with the Verrückte Weapon System can be used as an impact weapon”

It can be harder to convince the coroner’s jury that you did not hit him too hard than it would be to show you didn’t shoot him too much.
Bill Jordan on pistol whipping.

I can say that I honestly found the "stand off " device to be quite interesting. Different, but interesting.

Anyways, here's their website:

@buddyd157 , I think you're onto something, I scanned their website and it seems that their Jager frame is only available through Mankato Guns. This site worked for me :

“Meh” for me as well.

Stay safe.

More departures from the original design. Something that the world does not need. Besides that, it simply looks ugly.
....kinda my response to my friend. Yet, even tho he is not a gun person, he tried to imply this was the best thing to happen to 1911s since extended beavertails. I told him that pulling your SD gun means you have already intend to use deadly force to eliminate a real threat that could result in your own death, not to push folks away. You pull your gun only when you have discerned it is your last resort and any other use could be interpreted as brandishing.

In all honesty this just isn't my thing. It seems to be a prototype though. I find myself thinking of advice my father gave me long ago to never buy the first year of a new model of car. If I were interested in this I would just watch & wait. Let the reviews come in & the beta testing be finished before I considered buying. I guess I'm just not an early adopter kind of guy.

Nah, I'm holding out for a new Sig XFull but in commander size. The XFull in .45 is sweet but the Commander will be out soon.

Found this out the hard way myself. Bought a new 1984 Bronco II (yes, I'm getting up there) only to find out it was colloquially known as an 83 and a half. It had a tendency to die anytime it rained hard, usually on a busy road at rush hour. And I bought a Kimber 1911 when they moved to external extractors--an experiment they gave up on. Mine was a jamomatic. I decided to get out of beta testing.

Looks like some sort of amatuer/gunsmithing assignment thrown together at the last minute.

Nothing I would be interested in, now or in the near future.

Hard Pass.

The devil would be in the details of such a design. As others have said, let someone else do the beta testing.
Remember the Hudson?
