This past weekend, I chrono'ed my pet 35 Remington load out of a 20" Marlin 336, pushing a 200gr bullet at 2250fps muzzle velocity and a trajectory of +-3" out past 200 yards.

So this evening, I was cleaning my ARs and thought to myself, "You know - I wish that somebody made an eight pound AR10-pattern rifle chambered in 35 Remington. What a great brush rifle that would be....".

<sigh>

I wish

I wish they made a springfield GI in 9mm, and a M1 carbine in 9mm. A M1 garand in 223 or 7.62/39 would be good also (cheap ammo)

I wish they made a compact pistol designed for concealed carry that had a red-dot reticle built into the slide that pops up and turns on when you flick the safety off. Keeps the profile minimal until you intend to expose your weapon anyway, and makes a quickdraw a little faster for the less-trained.

16.25" barreled carbine weighing in at or around 6-6.5 pounds chambered for .454 Casull, with detatchable mags with hi-cap mags as an option. Handy deer rifle, and the potential to be a very potent bedside gun...

Not so much a pistol, but a 20 or even 30 round magazine for semi auto .22LR rimfires. I know they can do it.

Compact stainless takedown lever gun in .454 for a reasonable price.

I want one of those magic guns that I dream about occasionally, infinite ammo and guaranteed accuracy.
Combine that with the 'finger gun' I had when I was six years old for concealment considerations and we have the ultimate gun.

A 1911 carbine with a 16 inch barrel, folding skeleton stock, and pop up red ot sight like low sci mentioned

a reasonbly priced m14/m1a copy

a mil spec m1a1 carbine folder (chambered in 357 mag = best truck gun ever)

more of those tippman mini machine guns

new S&W model 63's and 34's

a modern double action break top revolver in 357 or 45 colt, round but and either 2,4,6 inche tube.
pat

I wish they made a SBH with a 10" bbl....oh wait a minute, they do and I have one...never mind. Chief

Don't they make 16" barrel and shoulder stock upper recievers for 1911's? I've seen them somewhere....

Yes they do. There are a few kits to choose from such as Mech-Tech that go for about $250.

There are others out there but they all pretty much use the same methods and various kits for other handguns such as glocks and so on.

A modern D/A break-top revolver in .44 mag or .357 mag

Edit: Drat, some one allready got it. Well at least there's a demand, mabey some enterprising gunsmith will make another wonderfull toy that we can throw our money at <wink><wink>

two: An ar or ak chambered for the 6mm remmy. then a 22mag , floating chamber, mag or belt fed, center case drop, chemical cooled, 16 in fluted bbl, take down, bullpup design.

I see someone already got stainless takedown leveraction - but I choose the .357 for the chambering.

How about resurrecting the TimberWolf .357 and .44mag pump actions - in stainless? Much easier to feed thru the bottom (like a shotgun) than the loading gate on Taurus' soon-to-be-released Thunderbolt.

And the Coonan .357 automatic? (1911-based semi-auto chambered in .357 magnum). Certainly a thing of beauty and much less unwieldly than the gas operated Desert Eagle in that chambering. In stainless, of course.

If you guessed I have a "thing" for .357 in stainless, you're right.
