Tell me about this rifle.

There is one in the used rack at the local gunshop. It is missing the sights and isn't abused but shows signs of use. Are they super accurate or will a modern CZ 457, etc beat it?

Troys exactly right....

To be honest my 457 is unimpressive with its stock .22lr barrel.
I'd expect a decent condition Anschutz, to outshoot it even with its LW barrel.
I did a bit of googling, and the SM is basically the same gun as the Anschutz Match rifle but comes with the fancier stock.

Used in the .22 world, if not abused isn't a bad thing. The super match should out shoot most off the shelf non-target rifles.
I say "target rifle" meaning full blown special purpose rifles. Not something a mfg put a target stamping on.

No sights isn’t a problem as most owners of those type rifles will sell the rifle but keep the sights for the next rifle. Also, sometimes the LGS owner will keep the sights for themselves.
