Thanks. Any particular place you’d recommend near Charleston? I don’t know the area and have never hunted hogs, so I’d want a guide or outfitter.Hogs
Thanks. I'm most interested in finding something to do. A little bit of sitting around and talking with family goes a long way. I'd rather go do something with whichever of the family members would like to come along.https://www.huntinglodge.net/boar-hunts/
I have never used the above Outfitters.
Living in SC PeeDee the Outfitter, private land route is the way to go if you just want to kill something. In the summer time trailcams are used on the fields to narrow down were the pigs are. Winter months it's over bait feeders.
Hunting the Francis Marion National Forest is an option. Go to the SCDNR website for more information about hunting in SC.
Please note I am not a fan of Canned hunts. I would prefer crashing the brush and go home empty handed. Versus the fish in the barrel method of high fence cattle yards.
The historical district of Charleston is a great way to spend a day. Parking at the battery is free but limited.Thanks. I'm most interested in finding something to do. We will almost certainly go to the historical district and to the aquarium. Thanks for the tip on the Twin Ponds Range. The historical district of Charleston is a great way to spend a day. Parking at the battery is free but limited.
A range day at Twin Ponds Rifle Range is a great way to spend a day. I warn you that the RSOs will remind shooters of the rules such as no rapid fire. One of the best run ranges I have been to. It is at no cost to shooters other than Pittman - Robertson act and our taxes. The RSO is just trying to keep it safe for everyone.
