I'm curious if anyone here has a Dillon RF100 Automatic Primer Filler.

I can't image spending $315 to save the 90 seconds it takes me to fill a pickup tube manually. If I were running a high-volume commercial operation then maybe.

Am I missing something?

Like most Dillon items, it is pricey! I haven't used one. I did research on the web and they work but seem to be tempermental. Way over priced in my weak mind.

PS: There is a local guy that has a cast bullet and ammo business. He has at least a dozen Dillon 1050's running constantly. He was selling his Dillon PRimer fillers, as the were, in his words, a PITA.

I have one. Very expensive, work great if you set it up correctly. Your half way through the 100 in the press before its finished with the next 100. 90 seconds is a lot when it only takes you 150 seconds to load 100 rounds.

Which Dillon are you using that'll do 100 rounds in 150 seconds? On my best day I can't load anywhere that fast on my 1050.

^^^^^^^^^^

That's what I want to know too. Yowza..........!

A completed round every 1.5 seconds?

If true, what is he using to cool off his dies? ;)

It seems that reloading speed, kind of like group sizes, are best done on a keyboard, as opposed to real life!

As to the primer filler. Why would anybody spend over $300 on a device that isn't as easy to use or as efficient as a $30 Vibra-Prime. I'd bet that Dillon bought the rights to Vibra-Prime, in order to stop its manufacture.

Yeah, that's why I made the video. Nothing like proof to curb skepticism.

If you're a big volume loader, the Dillon primer loader is great. I don't do so much I can't fill the 20 tubes I have, by hand, before starting a loading session. When I use 'em all up, it's time for a break anyway.
