Where is the best place to get a lower parts kit minus the trigger and grip? Seems like lots of places have em on back order or out of stock and theres a ton of places to get them.....thanks for the help!

AIM surplus has a good reputation and has been great in the few dealings that I have had with them. PSA (aka Palmetto State Armory) depends on who you ask but main complaint is slow shipment. You might also consider the big boys--Brownells and Midway USA often run sales on Lower parts kits that are pretty competitive on name brand kits. Last, but not least, Primary Arms in Texas has been great to deal with. CDNN also carries AR15 parts and is good on shipping but the parts may be of mystery origin.

Here's the deal - Brownells sells a full LPK from DPMS, less the FCG, for $30 all the time. Midway has a CMMG kit for $30 right now, marked down from $50, but that is a sale... It's absolutely foolish to pay MORE for a kit with less parts. Buy the cheap DPMS kit from Brownells then throw away the grip, and be into the deal for less than other options. It's that easy.

I would buy from Midway. DPMS has good parts. Palmetto's are cheap but not always in spec, the last set I had to replace with DPMS parts.
Also Midway has a great return policy and prompt customer service. Palmetto has none of either.

Redbarnarmory is as good as it gets for lower parts kit. Basic kit $25. Then with pull down list you can add what you want or upgrade any given part. A true custom LPK.

I second Redbarnarmory. Get exactly what you want in a LPK instead of having yet another set of extra parts you didn't want.
