AR Hastings sling for varmint/predator control ?

Looking at possibly getting a hastings sling to use for groundhog/skunk/predator and other small game with a budget heavy barrel upper out to 100ish yds with a prism and irons. Should get 2.5 moa with range ammo. Time will tell.
Not looking to compete.
Not sure it is worth the hassle. Used one in boy scout camp 73ish. Two old ones strapped us in for our riflery merit badge.
Does anyone use one on an AR? Would you want it for offhand pest control? Seated? Or would a two point do?

Most likely, the target sling. Pretty sure I am going with a regular two point. Local consensus is for target matches, not good for any hunting over a nylon tube or regular sling.
