Are the mags for an XD and a XDM the same?

Hi All
Been watching a auction on a SpringField XD. I couldn't remember if the XD and the XDM use the same mag. So anyone know if the mags changed with the models or are they the same across the XD line? 9mm if that maters.

They're the same for the .45, different for other chamberings.

The Springfield XD series are stupidly cheap on the used market right now. With any sort of effort you can get a used one on GB in the $220's, NP.

Yup. That's why I am asking about the mag interchange on them. I just saw one close for $160. Thinking of picking one up.

Have a XD-9 and a XDm here, and their magazines are not interchangeable.

Kind of a bummer.

That's what I was thinking. If I get an XD I need to make sure I can get a few mags for. Are they still making the XD model or was it discontinued in favor of the XDM?

They still sell new XD9 models in California due to their silly handgun registry. But I haven't seen a new one for sale elsewhere in a couple of years, I think.

For $160, I would grab it and worry about spare mags later... but there's actually nothing to worry about.

I'll make a post about this eventually, but I've acquired three XD or XDS pistols in the past few months: 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45acp.

GB and Midway had plenty of magazines for them, NP. I ordered a spare for each pistol with no difficulty at all. Amazon had nice leather holsters. Pearce has grips extensions if you want one (I did).
