Update: My account upgrade and fee payment from Thursday noon still has not been processed , and my email from Friday inquiring about that has not been answered.
I am willing to pay for a month of access as a seller , but man - this is ridiculous.

Let me add this little info in...AMAZON...how many of you pay prime for the free shipping and extras...SAME THING...maybe armslist is the next AMAZON...but for gun owners...

Really...I know you can't prove me wrong...but...if you bought Amazon stock 6 years ago at 200 a share, (currently 3000+ )wouldn't you buy into a upstart like this that has both the seller and buyer paying...DUH...just saying
 
When I list anything to Armslist or Craigslist, I use a app phone number. If you have a smart phone, their are several apps that give you a different phone number for calls and text. TextFree and textnow are the ones that I have used. If you start getting a lot of spam calls on the app number, the app’s have the option to change it. Or you could just sign out of the app when you don’t have anything listed.

I started doing this after I sold a car tachometer on Craigslist. Guy started calling me a couple weeks after the sale wanting his money back because the tach died. Probably called me 10 times from different phone numbers over a week or so. Come to find out it quit working because he put it in a Jeep with no top. Then it rained...

Yes...just like armslist...look for free...but extra shipping cost to buy from Amazon, unless your a prime member(paying fees)which i gladly do, Armslist is doing the same thing Amazon did in its early days...start out basically free for buyers... then ...increase buyer fees...no difference to me

While I have not used them in a good while I for the life of me do not understand all the complaining about them. If you do not like them? Seems simple, do not use them and do your happy dance. Why this seems to bother so many people is beyond me.
Last time I sold a gun was after we got the law that we have to use and FFL. I listed it on AL. I use a burner phone that we keep as an emergency phone. Used that number. Found buyer who all contact was on that phone. Gun sold, all seem happy. I use that same phone when I sell stuff on Craigs list. When I am done with what I am selling the phone is off again. So again why the change is setting so many off I do not get? Don't like the way it's set up? Simple enough, do not use them. The market will shake it out. Either they will survive or go away. All the ranting about them must make some "feel better" I guess??o_O
