ATF requesting funding for Pistol brace registration

Considering Biden is leveraging 21 BILLION dollars in budget increase for federal law enforcement, most of that ATF, I question the source that the ATF is begging for money.

Force millions of people into the nfa?
That's good because about 99% of people with tax stamps would like to see to it gone. If you eliminate counting dealers, that number goes up to around 100%.

They don’t need funding, $200 is out dated back then cars cost $200, once they raise the tax for modern day the $20,000 a pop, they will have plenty of funds….

"Currently, there are at least four million braced pistols in the United States"

Probably just a WAG!

So much to do about NOTHING!

The firearm is a pistol. put a brace on it and then it's something horrific.
Take the brace of and it's still just a pistol

There were 4 million sold by the main companies who sold them.
That's about as accurate and misleading as saying "there are at least 4 million vehicles in California".

So if once registered as an amnestied braced pistol, could one swap an actual stock? Or is that what the photos are to prevent?

amnesty implies you did something wrong to begin with, which you didn't

no, the tax stamp is only good for what you register with the specific brace. No free sbr for you.

Not correct at all. A SBR is a SBR no matter what stock you have on it or in this case a stock or arm brace. And the new rule change states that if your braced pistol does not make the points worksheet then it IS a SBR. You can change stocks/braces out anytime you want after it is registered as a SBR. People swap out stocks and uppers all the time on their registered SBR's without any problems from the ATF.

You can also return it to a title 1 rifle by replacing the barrel wit one that is at least 16" in overall length.

Huh?o_O
Ive yet to meet a gun dealer that thought any part of the NFA was a good thing.
You post some weird stuff, but man, this one is just dumb.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that gun dealers want MORE regulation. Every gun dealer I know wants less regulation....as in no tax stamps or Form 4's.

How would amnesty work for people with a braced pistol determined to be an SBR in jurisdictions where SBR are not permitted by state law? It would seem to indicate the item simply becomes prohibited outright since cannot register one in some states.

ATF will not approve any NFA form where possession is prohibited by state law.

Where I get that idea? People like you and your short sighted hatred of solvent traps.
