I'll be there at 11AM. By sheer good luck, my $200 tax-stamp came in yesterday, so I'll have my intergrally-suppressed Ruger MkII along with.

Even if I have to park my car up on the paved road, and skip around 200yds of mud-puddles to get to the firing line, I'm willing to shoot.

I'm with you there. Unless it's coming down good, I'm up for shooting. I think the heavy stuff will have cleared by the time we get out there. I'll have a bunch of waterproof targets for paper shooting, and of course all the steel. :) I've got some thinner stuff good for 22 and lighter handgun shooting, as well as some 1/2" for the bigger stuff. It'll be interesting to see if my steel cores will be able to punch through that 1" aluminum.

I am curious still to see what the thick teflon will do with those 22's.

I actually feel bad because I didn't bring as many toys as I wanted to.

I also forgot my damn barter goods. Fine horse-trader I am.

Ah well...let me explore the continental breakfast here...honeybuns and three kinds of milk. :D

Ah well...let me explore the continental breakfast here...honeybuns and three kinds of milk.

Fancy.

May I suggest a better breakfast? There's a really great taco place not far from you. If you get on I-35 south, take the 51st Street exit. Turn right (west) and take 51st until the first major intersection, which is Airport Blvd. Take a left, and I think the 2nd building from the corner is a place called "Tamale House". Best tacos around, man. The Juevos Rancheros are even better. If you want to wait for another hour and 45 minutes, you could even meet me there. I get off at 8 and am going straight there, then Home Depot for a drill bit and Academy for targets before everyone meets up at TLC.

Then I am gonna go find me a Starbucks and get me some overpriced coffee and try to meet you there....still got my cell from the earlier post?

I see you've found the wireless as well. Epoch is my regular hangout... I'm usually there for a good 4-6 hours, 5-6 days a week after work. :) It's a great place with great people and good coffee. It's like Cheers, but with coffee instead of beer.

Sorry but I will not be joining y'all. Got called to work last night and tonight.

Got home about 5:00am due to filing reports. Maybe next time.

Have fun and try not to get too muddy.

Well...you guys that didn't come thinking it was going to be a wash-out...sorry?

Sunny, a medium breeze and cool right now...couldn't ask for better weather, folks. :)

A big thank you to whoever put this together, as well as everyone who attended, and also to mother nature for making it the best day to be outside in about a month :)

Fun time was had by all. We had a little steak then headed out to the range. Banged a little steel and killed some clays. I'm impressed with how easy everyone made ringing steel gongs with handguns at the 40yd berm look.

It's always nice to put a face with the name. I'm looking forward to next time we can get together to shoot.

Oh, and Matthew, had fun shooting that silenced Mk II. Ping, CLANG! Ping, CLANG! :)

Thanks everyone for coming out given the thunderstorm weather forecast. As it turned out, it was a sunny, cool day -- good shooting day. We had a dozen folks come for the lunch, and after lunch, we headed out to ARC range.

I'm the first guy to leave at about 2:30PM due to a previously planned engagement. But everybody was still busy shooting and chatting. The weather turned out to be very good, especially for central Texas at this time of the year!

BTW, the TLC lunch was good; although a bit too much in terms of quantity.

Had a blast...shot some things I never thought Id get my hands on.

Now I need a FAL...

Thanks to everyone for making us welcome, since I'm far from a regular poster or anything. Also looking forward to seeing pictures whenever theyre up.

Made it back home in pretty good time. :)

Didn't really want to leave, but man, by the time I got home I was tired of looking at my steering wheel. :p

For the folks that got us into the ARC thanks to you boys for the hospitality. :)

And I can't believe you guys...you liked a FAL but not a Taylor? :neener:

After some of the loads I touched off, I DIDN'T even want anything to do with that damn monster...even my cast bullet "light loads" felt rather stiff.

Anytime you want to throw another one together, count me in....I need very little excuse to visit the hill-country.

I will get the pics off my camera either Sunday or Monday. Get 'em to a manageable size and put 'em in photobucket.

Bueno, folks

Thanks again for all of the hospitality y'all. And a special thanks to whoever it was that paid off the weatherman and arranged for the perfect shooting weather. Count me in for the next shoot! I'm going to start collecting scrap steel from the jobsite so we should have gongs galore to bang away at by the time the next shoots rolls along.

Hasta,

Charlie

Got there too late

Was called to work this morning, it was 4 pm by the time I started out. Had never been there before, and every time I asked for directions, it was the wrong ones. Got there at closing, so maybe better luck next shoot. At least I know where it is, and I'll get the 75.00 yearly membership for the combo. Really wanted to meet the members, but at least I didn't have to clean my guns when I got back. I'll just go to Richards place tomorrow for a sermon. Unless it's happening Sunday. Oh well.

Good times today. I got the pictures off my camera and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in having taken so few pictures :(. I guess I (and everyone else) was way too occupied with shooting guns to shoot some photos. I don't have any pictures of those nice looking pistols everyone brought (except matt's ruger). I have some nice pics of tankers 416 taylor though, left a real imprint on me ;). By the way, does anyone object to having their picture posted on the web?

Thanks everyone for making it a fun day. I enjoyed talking to all of you, and shooting all your guns. :) Thanks to everyone for bringing out lots of fun stuff to play with.I look forward to seeing everyone's photos.

Anyone get any pictures of me shooting? I meant to have someone do some with my camera, but forgot. I'm gonna get some shots of the aluminum here in a bit and post it.

didn't leave any shooting irons or my base and bag...not so sure about my ammo boxes I haven't gone through it all....been a bit busy over the past several days.

I didn't get any of you SHOOTING NcongruNt. Sorry bro. :(
