IMO, the ergonomics of the CZ are superior to the Ruger, by far. The one weapon I've seen more trouble out of than anything else....is the Ruger line of autos. I just couldn't recommend them.
I've just picked up a CZ 75B 9mm pistol for duty use and run some tests on it. The only problem I experienced was three nosedives with 147g ammo. The 115g, 124g, and 125g ammunition, both FMJ and JHP, performed perfectly and all of them shot to point of aim at fifty feet. Out of three hundred rounds fired that day, I saw three malfunctions. Those were ammunition/magazine related, and not from the pistol itself.
The only downside to the CZ line is that custom addons are hard to come by. This is not a 1911!!!
Overall, I rate the CZ very highly and give it a 'strong buy' classification. It might be cheap costwise, but it is a great weapon on the whole.
