Our son was home from college for a day and as he was leaving I showed him my latest acquisition, a .357 S&W Model 19. My wife walked in and the first thing she said was "That's a beautiful gun."
She has a lot of other positive attributes too.

My wife said much same coupla years ago at a gun show. I was vacillating over a 8 3/8" M27-2 - wanted it but cost was a shade high.

After deliberation and her comment on it - well - it came home with me :)

My wife hates guns, but is very tolerant of my habit. She wouldn't know a beautiful handgun from an hair blower...Here's my beauty...

I bought a J Frame back in August, told SWMBO I bought another handgun. She asked to see it, she said, "Peggy likes, I want to shoot it sometime."

IMO there is no handgun more beautiful than a nickel-plated Colt Detective Special (3rd model) with the original wood stocks.

A S&W model 19 is a very close second, and a lot more practical. You have a good gun there.

My daughter and I found pristine M19 and M66 4 inchers on the same table at a gun show recently. She bought the 19 and I bought the 66. The 19 now has Spegels on it and she is in love with it.

She likes her Glock 19 but it sure looks like she has been enlightened as to what a real gun ought to be.

The 66 is nice too--but nothing beats a nice blue job.

I still think S&W was nuts to drop them.

Your wife speaks truth. In my opinion the S&W K frame guns are some of the most beautiful guns out there especially with blue finish and wood grips.

A buddy of mine has a wife that picks out most of his guns and she has great taste, Its hard to beat his collection of coarse they got money and that makes a big diff. because price is not a option for them like it is me
My wife picked out one for me about 20 years ago and it was a Browning Auto 5 in 20 ga. mag I love that thing
so I cant complain !!!! they have good taste

I bought a S&W Model 19 last week. (Blued, 4inch, wood grips). So far, I have a Model29, a Model 686, a Model 17, and a Model 19. Only one left I still want is a blued Model 27. And a Model 28. And a Model 10. And a Model 41. (Can you see where this is headed?):uhoh:

If my ex had had that problem I wouldn't have had to pay so much for the divorce

My current wife thinks all guns are ugly, like any other tools.
Some people just don't know industrial art when they see it

Wifes insight

Hello
My wife is and avid shooter like me but does NOT mingle in my Gun affairs, nor do I her sewing machine nor Ceramic hobbies !! She shoots once in awhile but respects the fact that it is MY hobby so stays reserved. I buy what I want, when I want without repercussions..;) Hammerdown

ArmedCitizen and BullRock......Your wives don't know a handgun from a hairdryer? Wow, that could be pretty dangerous. Hope neither one of them lose their hair dryers anytime soon. LOL :D :neener:

Heh, heh... Hope no one takes that cartoon as a suggestion of what may bedone with a less than firearm knowledgeable wife. It wouldn't work, really. And then you'd be in more trouble than e'er before. ;)
