So at the gun show Saturday I stopped to talk to a friend running one of the knife tables, and all of a sudden he points out his latest acquisition in the case. Mixed among the antique and beat up knives he pulls out this little gem.View attachment 775932
I was really surprised because I've been looking for a little 22, and this H&R 622 is exactly it!View attachment 775934
So I asked him if it was for sale, and he said "maybe"... So after a few minutes of haggling I walked away with the 622 and a few knife projects for some trading stock I brought to the show.

She's a sweet little revolver, tight action, and not too beat up. So yeah, I'm happy!
They are nice guns for the the money, and yours looks low mileage. As the round count goes up, however, the ratchet will begin to print against the breechface and, eventually, the tip of the hand will wear leading to short carry up and- in extreme cases- borderline dangerous timing. Ive seen and passed on quite a few H&R solid frames in the last few years due to this issue. Not sure about parts availability, but I doubt there are many spare cylinders/hands circulating for these.
Congratulations on your find, but keep an eye on the timing and I would keep the round count modest to get the most years out of it! Good job!
