Colt Model M 1903 "pocket"

I know it's old and difficult to find in good external appearance as most have been carried to death . I just can't recommend other than what I Have used myself for the last 30 years .

I have carried 3 different .380s. I started with a 1908 Colt Pocket Auto (which I sold like a fool). I then started carrying a Keltec P3AT (the reason I sold the Colt was medical bills and already had the Keltec) I since have sold the Keltec as well and got a Smith Model 36 in it's place. I recently got a Astra Constable in about 98% condition. That is a nice gun! It is super accurate and it runs like a top. The Colt was nice and it packed FLAT! Pretty accurate and it left me feeling safe when I carried it. The Keltec was ok I guess. It had nasty recoil when fired, the sights were nonexsistent, and it just felt cheaply made. It was worth the money and I know they are quality guns, I just didn't like the way it felt. The Constable is a great gun! Trying to hunt down a magazine now. I want a spare for it. It is steel through and through and well made. It is a fixed barrel gun and the accuracy is surprising. The sights are nice and the rear is actually adjustable! It packs flat and I would feel totally confident carrying it where ever, when ever. I normally carry a J frame Smith or BHP/1911 size gun.

The only reason to go to .380 is size, so why get a big one? I went with the Sig 238 and it is a joy to shoot. Very little recoil, easy slide to rack, the slide locks back, and it has night sights. Plus, you could buy two Sigs for the price of a Seecamp.
It fits in my pocket, so it's easy to take along.

If you ask me, the SigP238 or the venerable Colt Mustang are the ideal, if not the 'best' .380's - particularly if you're a 1911 gunner. Quality all steel materials, fine fit and finish, and you just can't beat that cocked and locked single action trigger, all tucked into a nice leather wallet holster.

It just feels sooo right.

Is the Seecamp still on back order? I remember this how ridiculous that is.

Nice little pistol. Is it all original? Looks great!

Thanks, no it's been refinished and the grips are aftermarket, but I do still have the original hard rubber ones.

The refinish job is very nicely done though and appears to be some sort of parkerizing.

Not a lot of collectors value so I have a good time shooting her, it's a great little plinker! ;).

That's an oldie. Is it up to code?
I may not be up to code any more (or any less for that matter)
I however believe that the Colt was has been and still is .
Care to stand in front of mine @ 50m ? :D
I also see that I'm not the only one that still considers this little auto "relevant" and worthy of consideration for backup carry .
I sit , lounge , supine on my couch exhausted and corrected . My .380 is a 1908 the pic is not mine and is an early (very early three digit) '03 with barrel bushing .

Only if I have a Kelvar vest on or other body armour.

I took my LCP to the range for the first time on this past Friday. I was quite pleased with it's practical accuracy. I ran the silhouette (which was reduced scale) out to 7 yds and maintained a nice center mass pattern with both aimed fire as well as point shooting. If you still have not made a decision I would highly recommend the LCP.

If I can put 100 rounds of 380 from a TCP in a man sized target in the head area without any malfunctions at 15 yards, that's the one I am carrying when I have to.

Just bought Mine.........380 that is.

I have been wanting a Bersa for a while now. I watched a few slip thru my fingers at recent Gun Shows. Was at the local Gander Moutain yesterday and did not let this one get away. Took it to the Range today and must admit I need to aim a little higher. That little sucker packs a punch. I'm lovin it already.

The best one is the Ruger LCP Coyote Special limited edition they offered here in Texas after the Guv used his on a coyote while he was jogging. I just picked mine up today because I've been eyeing the LCP for months and couldn't resist a Texas themed gun.

Actually I think I will get that Ruger SP-101 in gray finish with the wood inserts. That is one very rugged and well built piece.

The SP-101 is great. I have one in .357 and the only thing I want to change is to lighten the trigger a bit. I got the Wolff kit but haven't installed it yet.

I have one already too. I love it. It is a Lipsey Edition with the wood insert handles. I want to get another one with those very same handles but Lipsey Distributors doesn't have it anymore. They just have the regular stainless version with black handle. Mine is in gray in color. Maybe I'll just have to see if I can get another grey one and see if I can buy those gray wood inserts separately. The thing is most of all the SP-101 for sale are in the shiny stainless steel. I haven't seen any in the Gray color at all. If they have em still in gray then maybe I can just change the black grips and put the wood inserts on.
