In a conversation elsewhere a particular gun was discussed as being a great bargain in terms of the quality and performance to price ratio. That got me to thinking about which guns offer the best value in terms of performance compared to cost.
I will start the discussion by nominating the new T/C Compass rifle. Mine in 243 was barely over $200 with rebate and it shoots as well as my other 243 that cost three times as much. For that low price you get a threaded muzzle, detachable box magazine, slick working bolt, and a better synthetic stock than most of the other bargain rifles. If they made it in a left handed version I would buy 3-4 more of them.
What other gun is as good for so little cost?
