What ever fits your hand and feels right to you is the correct answer. If it doesn't feel good it will be hard to learn to love it. I have the Beretta. I think they are very underrated. Fantastic pistol.

I recently convinced myself I needed an XDm what with all the fantastic reviews I've read about that gun. Then I held one. YUCK...!!! It felt just like Glock to me.... :barf::barf::barf:

In my opinion, the M&P 9 is the best 9mm polymer handgun. I don't care about out of the box performance as much. I think long term. My M&P had an adequate trigger out of the box. If my trigger bothered me, I'd drop in an APEX kit. I care about reliability, durability, accuracy, and ergnomics. When I invest in a gun, I don't want a gun that I will replace in a few years. I want to make sure that I have something that I'll want to keep. There are a lot of great guns out there, but to me nothing is better than the M&P.
