I’ve finally decided to take the plunge on adding an RMR to my EDC Glock 19. I picked up a 3.25 MOA Trijicon RMR on sale at Cabela’s, and now I’m looking at options for slide milling. There’s quite a few names out there — Battlewerx, Suarez, L&M, ATEI, etc. Prices similarly range widely, and I’m looking to find the sweet spot for best value. That is, I want to pay for quality work, but I don’t place a premium on having something that looks great on Instagram to boost branding (as ATEI seems to have built their name).

In your experience, or from your own reading, who mills a good slide at a decent price point? Or, what companies/machinists have I not checked out that I should? I’m not planning on skimping on machine work, but don’t necessarily care about high-gloss name recognition.

Thanks!

Thanks, both Jager and LoneWolf looked great. Battlewerx caught my eye for having a cyber Monday sale — $100 cut with free refinishing. Their reputation appears to be as solid as the others, so we’ll see.

I had my G41 done by Jagerworks. Top notch precision. Very nicely done. Fast turn around. I got the "35 cut" slant on the underside and trijicon suppressor sights. Came back shooting to point of aim at 25yds. I did a grip mod to make it a bit more concealable.
Comfortable carry. Fits my hand well. Its a winner. Having my G17 done after Christmas. Helps aging eyes.

Good grief, these places are raping on RMR cuts. Or maybe I need to be charging more than $65......

Really, though, it's not rocket surgery, doesn't take that long even with putting a 3.000" radius on the front of the cut to match the RMR.

I had no idea you were in the business. Do you have a site with more info/ordering for anyone else that might come along (or for when I get my 43 cut for a shield optic next year)?

No site yet. I did have it attached to my other business' site, but I let that one go, generated a lot more frustration than business. I won't ever be set up for internet ordering of services; I'm old school, want to speak directly with people before agreeing to do work for them. My PCI compliance is also much simpler if I only take card info by phone and do not store it.

As well, I'm still small scale right now, running the two businesses concurrently, and don't have the room to store dozens of customer firearms at the moment. New shop is in process.

For now, folks can PM me here, I'll get back to them with phone number and email.
