Black friday and christmas reloading deals....

With the new Garmin Xero on the market I’m surprised they aren’t lower. LabRadar is going to have to up their game otherwise sales will fall off a cliff.
That's what I was thinking too.

Maybe it's too soon and they are hoping to strike while the fire is hot before the Garmin becomes widely available and throws a damper on them

Competition is almost always a good thing for us but my Garmin Xero S1, that’s just a few weeks old is going back, it just randomly freezes and does nothing. It’s pretty neat when it does work but all of the rebooting turns it from a tool into a toy.

I would not recommend a LabRadar even at $300 for new. Folks have even been turned down for servicing (not warranty, but paid service) on used LabRadars. It's about 15x the size, heavier and needs an external battery. Accessibility and convenience (with no real loss of capability and accuracy) is just so important.

Oh that really sucks, hope it turns out good for you. I think all of us want this thing to work well.

Let's hope the Garmin just needs a software update to fix the freezing problem that Jmorris's has.

I want one of them.

That is unfortunate. Hopefully it's just bad luck with your unit and not a general firmware problem.

Interesting that you point this out since I called them twice about some minor issues and they would have been happy to repair and replace if I paid the postage and an hourly rate for their techs.

Due to its location, the external battery connection that gets expanded and floppy due to the external power battery falling out of the connection.

Like Cablevision around here, that is the only game in town, Labradar can (or could) be as inflexible as they wanted.
