Do they use a metal trigger group at least? Im done with Ruger and their new found love affair with polymer small parts.:cuss:

The single-point sling attachment points are a bit of a head scratcher too, but thats cool if you want to go on patrol with a .22, lol.

The stock does look decidedly better than most Ruger offerings, hope you like it!

Flush cup sling attachments aren't just for single-point slings. I think that's a very functional looking stock and I like that it comes with a big stack of LOP spacers. If it shoots well, it's a bargain at $500 versus a Ruger 10/22 stripped down and built up to the same specifications.

I just got the BXR 1 (steel barrel) to the range Nov 9, 2019. My initial outing was for function testing and sighting in with an old BSA contender 4-16 AO scope.
I always have great expectations for a new gun (most of mine are purchased used), so I was a bit disappointed that the Bergara magazine refused to drop free and had to be finessed out of the magwell. Ruger mags worked fine, however, and there were no misfeeds or failures of any type for the 70 rounds fired. Safety, mag release, bolt lock all worked as expected. Trigger was a bit vague, but pull was light and consistent. Ejection was positive, and the gun seemed happy with CCI standard velocity and Federal auto match ammunition.
Most of the time was spent dialing in the scope, which is no prize but I thought would give me some idea of the potential. At the end of the session, 10 shot 50 yard groups were well within an inch, with the higher velocity stuff more vertically spread.
I really like this gun, and look forward to getting a good scope on it. Eventually I would like to try my hand at some of the long range 22 games. Meanwhile, my old 10/22 with the aftermarket barrel and stock will be looking for a new home.
