Braced Pistol stamp Watch Thread

Two still in process - submitted on the afternoon of 5/31. I suppose I'm "that guy", but I was waiting to see if there was any late breaking news.

Same here lol. 5/31 @ 11pm and was still adding more until the site frozen up at 10 minutes till 12am 6/1. I'm that guy who procrastinated.

They didn't have anymore information other than it's pending. As of today I'm still pending. I'll give it another week and withdraw the application and submit a new one.
FYI: per this Reddit mega thread, others who submitted brace Form 1 applications had to wait anywhere from 30-100 days. Even those who submitted multiple applications one after the other had vast disparities between the amount of time each was approved. One approval might have taken 40 days and the other 80.

You're only at 59 days today. Starting over might take another 30-80 days and $200 out of your pocket from the day you resubmit; whereas, waiting might only be another 20-30 days from today.

1 on 5/21 and 5/22. Still showing submitted / in process this morning.

first trust and first NFA, so hoping I didn’t goof something up.

I can only conclude, by this time, that my last submission is sitting on the desk of the laziest, slowest agent available.

Most recent guy had to wait 107 days aka three & a quarter months. Around 3 months seems to be the max I've been seeing.

Form Type: Brace Rule 2021-08F Form 1
Entity: Trust
Fingerprint Type: EFT Upload
Pending: 2023-03-28
Approved: 2023-07-13
Wait: 107 Days
State: TN
Control Number: 202348xxxx
Came in around 8:00 pm central time.

I submitted two form 1’s on 2/10 sent the fingerprints the same day with tracking.

Per the tracking both sets of fingerprints were received on the same day and one of my form 1’s was approved on 4/11 the second one was denied on 5/26 due to no fingerprints.

I had to reapply on 5/26 for the denied one and again sent the fingerprints with tracking they received them on 5/29 and I’m still waiting.

I submitted my Form 1 on 5/23 and received the approval this morning. Now to start looking for a folding stock.
The Sig folding stock I ordered back in February is still back ordered through OpticsPlanet, like every where else. The stabilizer registration has caused a huge backlog on all folding stocms from what I see.

I guess they didn't see the avalanche of folding stocks coming once they got the pistol brace rule paperwork done and approved.

So I am writing a post in the Black Powder room and just got my approval notice. Submitted 5/16. Signed by Danela Gilbert.

Now to find a stock for my Stribog!

Well, my last one came back disapproved due to lack of concurrent fingerprints. After I sent it back again (the first time was disapproved because the investigator interpreted the engraved serial different than I did), what I didn't realize was that I needed yet another set of fingerprints sent within 10 days of submission...the previous sets of fingerprints, which I assume are kept on file or else why have them(?), are evidently not good enough.

Any small excuse, I guess, to deny. I should be happy with the ones I have. This one was an AR lower, so it really doesn't matter since I had two other AR lower's approved....I already separated this lower from the pistol upper on it, so I'll just keep the two separate, make the lower a "stocked" lower for use with length legal uppers and use the pistol upper on one of the approved lowers....or shoot the current lower and pistol upper as a naked buffer tube. Either way a small irritation to me and the examining agent can have their little power trip for now. Maybe, just maybe, the SAF or others will prevail and the whole rotten mess will go away.

Two submitted Friday May 12th, a few hours apart had control numbers 684 apart. The second form was approved Tuesday July 25th by Kristan Miller. No news about the first one yet, but only like 75 days so far for it I used a "roll your own" fingerprint card kit from Amazon.

Via reports on another website, it seems as if those who paid $200 for the tax stamp after the 5/31 deadline are getting approvals within 30 days +/- while those who did the amnesty are waiting as long as three to four months on average.

Those who did the amnesty and have been recently approved all submitted around the beginning to mid May.

My recent paid form 1 was 42 days.

I submitted on 3/28. Paid out of pocket so not the freebee. I got my approval e-mail on 7/20 so just at 114 days if my math is right.

Were you first put in pending status, efile or mail, paper or electronic fingerprint?

E-file electronic fingerprints & photo though Silencer shop. Never saw anything other then Submitted and Approved.

Has this brace “rule” become “LAW” in some unconstitutional way or are decisions still pending?
It's a rule change that acts like law that is currently in effect. There is an injection for Firearms Policy Colation (FPC) members and Maxim Defense customers. I joined the FPC, so I'm covered for now as I wait.
