... I know the NY State AG doesn't have the best interest of the NRA membership at heart.
Neither does WLP. If he had the best interest of the NRA membership at heart he would have resigned a long time ago.

Or maybe Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition that reeks of racketeering?I wonder if this AG would aggressively pursue corruption investigations if the target was the ACLU or the NAACP (supposing its HQ was in NY)?
No need to explain if you have not figured it out by now... Sad to see so many fail to see what this is really all about......meaning?
I do not disagree. If LaPierre has broken laws (embezzlement, etc.) the arrest him and prosecute him.Neither does WLP. If he had the best interest of the NRA membership at heart he would have resigned a long time ago.
Odd how many here want to cure the cancer by killing the patient.
That NY AG knows a thing or two about politics. Divide and Conquer.
It more like breaking a union (NRA) before is destroys a company (US gun owners).
No, this is a purely political act during the run-up in a national election year. It is purely a political hatchet job. Nothing else beyond political theater. It more like breaking a union (NRA) before is destroys a company (US gun owners).

If it was law enforcement, investigations would be launched and charges would be filed.
Personally, I hope so.I believe charges are inbound.
Not hardly.Let it go, something better will replace it.
There was an effort to clean house at the NRA recently from within that failed. We can either police ourselves or have someone else do it for us. From where I stand the NRA hasn't done anything for us in a very long time. They should have been more proactive than reactive. Let it go, something better will replace it.
It is a civil suit not a criminal charge. The NRA Foundation, a tax exempt organization, is chartered in Washington, DC. The DC AG charges the leadership of the NRA with having robbed the NRA Foundation of tax exempt funds and used those funds for NRA salaries and/or political stuff.
This is the DC AG charge sheet:

It is a civil suit not a criminal charge.
IANAL!!! Nor do I pretend to be one on TV oor radio or from behind a computer keyboard, so: If it is a civil suit filed by a attorney general, can the state demonstrate having been harmed and does the state have standing if complaints have not been filed by NRA members?
Let them come forward and be recognized. At this point in time it would not be hard to find a fair number of NRA members that would join in to give them standing.
Odd... I thought you were interested in an intelligent discussion. No need to explain if you have not figured it out by now... Sad to see so many fail to see what this is really all about...
