I keep seeing the Browning BLR and X-Bolt .223 listed as .223/5.56 NATO.

Just google "browning bolt action 5.56"

Is that false advertising?

Browning doesn't list them that way on their site.

From my reading the PSI on a .223 around 50,000 and on a 5.56 is around 60,000.

My cousin has an A-Bolt in .223. I didn't even know it. He told me that it doesn't stabilize the heavy match bullets and is trading it for a .243.

That is a good piece of info. So regardless of the pressures or the barrel lead, it doesn't sound like it would run the .62 grain and higher ammo that I like to shoot in my 5.56 rifle.
