Did anyone get the latest Browning catalog. They are bringing back the T-bolt in .22lr. I wish they'd mad a rimfire in .22mag and .17hmr with stainless bull barrels.
If you don't have the catalog, Browning's web site has some info. The new rifle is to have an adjustable trigger and a semi-match chamber, so hopefully it'll be accurate. One thing's for sure, it's pretty:
That's the oddest looking magazine I have ever seen. I assume the original T-bolt did not have that? If it did not, why would they go with some strange pseudo rotary S design magazine? Is there something in the design of the action that necessitates such a magazine system? But that rifle is darned pretty either way.
I'm pretty sure the original had a standard box-type mag like most .22s. I guess Browning wanted 10 rounds in a flush-fitting mag without making the gun fat. That's my only complaint with the Ruger rotary mags - the width of the magazine keeps you from building a slim & trim rifle.
