Anyone have a current model T-Bolt?

What do you think of it?

How's the trigger? Field stripping? Accuracy?

Thanks

I don't have one, but I would take a long, hard look at the Izhmash Sobol and Biathlon that has a similar action at much less money. If I had to guess I would bet it would be just as accurate. I have been looking at one of these myself and you can buy a whole lot of match .22lr for what you would save.

:)

Who actually sells those things?

Do they have spring-loaded toggles like what you see in high-level biathlon?

Don't know, still looking. Tomorrow I will ask the folks at my local shop if they have a distributor that can get one, and let you know. IIRC they were at the SHOT show so they must be planning on (or already) importing...right?

I don't know...can you read Russian? It seems like information is so difficult to find on Commie guns. :banghead:

I have a new 17 HMR Browning T-Bolt. The T-Bolt works great, it is super fast and the 10 shot rotary magazine makes shooting even more fun. The fellow I bought it off is a very experienced shooter and included 5 shot groups 1 MOA using Hornady and CCI ammo. He chronographed the Hornady ammo at 2,696 fps which is faster that the published data. It's too cold here to do much shooting so I have not shot the gun that much. I am also buying a little better scope before too long. The gun is only 5.5 lbs so is a pleasure to carry around.

We sell them, I have not shot one yet but fondle them on a regular basis. As for the construction, they seem to be nicely built, the blue is great, balance the same, good wood and dimensions.

I gotta get one...just because!

Gotta love this:
The barrel bore locking system of a crank type with vertical axles of rotation allows to quickly reload the rifle without changing the ready position of a shooter.

WRT the Browning and weight -- it sounds like the somewhat heavier "varmint" version might be the one to get, even if I want a "sporter".

What about the triggers?

The trigger pull weight is externally adjustable so you should be able to adjust it to your liking. The only bad thing is the trigger guard is plastic which is kind of cheap for an expensive gun.

The guy I bought the gun from is an engineer and did up a neat power point presentation (they like those things), probably worth seeing. I need to ask for his permission, so if your interested I wil post it. You will need power point.

I have one of the newer model sporters with the Walnut stock. I like it very much and it shoots about the same as my CZ 452 + the straight pull is just something a little different. The only drawback I have found is extra magazines are pricey and not too plentiful (hmmmm, could there be a relationship there?) I could also see a potential while hunting in heavy brush for the bolt to get bumped and be in the open position when you do get the rabbit to jump. They are very light and easy to carry and handle well.

I have the one topped with a Nikon rimfire scope. Very accurate combo and the T-bolt is kinda different. Like the other guy said, mags are sort of expensive and take a little looking for.

I have one and love it!!

Excellent rifle, fit and finish are as one would expect from a Browning. Excellent...

How's the trigger? Field stripping? Accuracy?

Trigger: Quite nice from the factory, although I did adjust mine down a smidge... easily adjusted with a hex key without any breakdown of the rifle.

Field strip: As in remove the bolt? Easy, piece of cake...

Accuracy: Right up the with the CZ's and Remmy Bolty's...
