Hey Fellas. I don't post here much, because my Admin duties on another board keep me busy. But I wanted to pop in and give two big thumbs up to The Outlawkid. I sent him four of my pistols to get "Texas Tuned" and I wasn't disappointed! He did a great job on these guns. And they were a challenge to say the least.

Thanks again Sergio. I appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback Dave! Yes these guns were a challenge being assembled from mix matched parts...but in the end i felt comfortable giving then the stamp of approval. They should be good enough for competition now!...and thanks again for giving me feedback and kudos on the "Texas Tune" work i offer on guns.

Outlaw and I have a pending date with destiny, sending him my Dragoon and hoping for the best. I think my nipples may be frozen!
Very uncomfortable.

Yes sir! Im hoping the "Texas Tune" slick-up job makes you enjoy the gun a whole lot more! Seems to be more folks are sending dragoons to me now...so im getting real confortable working them. Lemme know whenever youre ready to send me one of your guns

Some great shootin there sir! I still convinced you were only 5 yards away instead of 25. Lol jk. So what is the load youre using for such accuracy?
That Gun likes 25 grains of 3f under a .457 round ball... It’s not as good as it looks at first glance, I’m happy enough with the three round group but the other three are nothing to squeal about! I’d say I need to learn when to stop shooting but the first shot didn’t even hit the plate... sheesh

Btw kid, I was using Texas yards when I measured the distance, I have always done so. I have a 38” inseam... ;-)

I just got my Pietta Navy back from Sergio and the trigger job is to die for. Light and breaks crisp. The OutlawKid rocks! Great communication and fast turn around time! The post office had it way longer than Sergio did! Hoping to shoot it this week end and try out some paper cartridges I made a couple of days ago. Then just pour in the powder, add the ball and away I go!
My 1st try for paper cartridges. Any advise, feel free. I used curling paper.

Mr.Boston Bill, thank you for the great feedback! I try my best to keep in contact with my customers as good communication is key to a healthy business relationship and to ensure the customer knows whats being done. After all...you paid for a service and its only fair for me to answer your questions and keep you informed about the work im doing. I try to provide what i would want in a service from a smith/tuner. I am a customer just like the rest of you so i try to see it from the perspective on your end instead of just the business end of taking the money. I also start the work as soon as i get the package and wont stop or put it on the back burner to work another....thats why the turn around seems fast. Im hoping the gun works out great for you, it was a very good template to work on...the foundation was very sturdy so i knew the end result would be good. Lemme know how it shoots!

Shot my 51 Navy Sheriff last week. Ran like a cartridge gun. Smooth and trouble free. I also used the Uncle Mike’s nipples the Kid recommended, caps went on easy and snapped every time. My new favorite gun! Thanks OutlawKid!

Just got my 51' Uberti back from being "Texas Tuned" by OutlawKid and it feels quite nice. Same as just about everyone else's experience, all positive. Communication is stellar.

Will have a chance to try it out tomorrow I hope.

Glad you enjoyed the work i did on your gun sir! And thank you for thr feedback and kind words! Oh and the "Texas Tune" was a name/description that was thought of by ShotgunDave...he figured i should have a name for my service. I like it.

Easy does it @TheOutlawKid ! You’re gonna run out of time for shooting at this rate!

Lol i barely get to shoot now due to the pandemic and taking care of my daughter...so the extra spare time at home workin guns i feel is time well spent. Buuuut...i will make time for "someones" specific .45 cal hawken haha. Almost at my goal mr.woodnbow!

Ah yes...mr.powdermark, my first customer and the first person to give me (a person with no feedback to my name) a chance to work on his gun. Took a big chance on me and ill always be grateful. Im glad the gun worked great and had no issues....and speaking of the uncle mikes nipples...i really do feel theyre worth the price especially for the quality. Awesome deal them nipples were! Glad i could help you there too!

Greetings Outlaw, I messaged you earlier today but just wanted to make sure you receieved it, am itching to send my Dragoon and to experience your action job !
