Well, here it is:
I told you the lighting is bad. I'll do more tomorrow

Dickydalton, That is without a doubt the worse picture anyone has ever posted. :)

In my opinion these new repros whether Uberti or Pietta are really stepping up to the plate. Their actions are tight, their chambers are correctly bored in relation to the barrel, their colors are vivid and they are extremely accurate shooters. You use to have to go to a 2nd or 3rd Generation Colt to find that, not now and not anymore!!!!

New Pietta .36 Navy steel from Cabelas

I received mine yesterday. I have three other Cap n' ball all Uberti.
Cleaned up and found the action was fine in full cock but locks in half cock and requires dis-assembly, near as I can tell every thing there. Any ideas would be welcome..

Are you trying to drop from full to half cock? If it locks in half cock how do you go past half cock to full cock?

Only pistol I have that locks up in half cocks is an old German 22 SAA that will pop the bolt up if you go too far past half cock and lock the cylinder. Is that what's happening?

I understand when at half you can only go to full cock. It is similar to my Uberti
SSA that locked up (It was totally bound up) which was caused by a broken
Hand Spring.

Here Crawdad
The case hardening on the loading lever isn't very good but the frame looks nice.

New Pietta .36 Navy steel from Cabelas

Found issue with new Pietta. I had a spare hand that fixed lockup problem.
There is a very distinctive step on the hand where the the spring enters the
piece. On the defective piece it's barely there. I can't believe it could have been tested. Thanks for the reply's..
