Hello all.
Getting ready for a trip to a range in northern Ks for a long range shoot. My son has this arranged so I do not have all the specifics. He has been informed that they really do not think a lead sled will be of any benefit. I am going to purchase a Caldwell Rock BR to take with us. Found some older threads where guys using that rest liked them , looking thru some of the old threads someone mentioned another gentleman that had some modifications he had fabricated for that rest.
Just by chance does anyone have knowledge of this guy, what he is modifying, and how to contact him.?
Also , my old bones and knees do not like laying in the prone position( well O K the knees do not like the getting up & down part). I have looked at again some of the older threads regarding shooting benches, any one have updated info on what they are using. Being a retired welder and fabricator, I will be fabricating my own, using either light steel or aluminum material so as to be portable.
Thanks to all.
