Just watched a quick 3 gun video posted on FN's website talking about the Midwest championship, and all the FN shooters and guns.

A little way through an FN rep says "we are the only company that makes all 3 guns..." (meaning FN is the only company making a rifle, shotgun, and auto loading pistol)

At first this statement sounded ridiculous, but I cant think of a company that does make all 3. (keep in mind I am fairly new to the gun scene and my knowledge of manufacturers is going to be considerably less than others who frequent this forumn.)

Can i get some help proving his statement wrong?

I believe FN is referring to tactical (i.e., police/military) weapons used in 3-gun practical shooting competitions. Smith & Wesson doesn't seem to have a tactical shotgun, neither does Ruger. Beretta does but they are sold under the Benelli, Franchi and Stoeger names, not as Berettas. All of FN's guns are sold under the one name, so technically, they may be correct.

I know that IZHMASH makes the Baikal pistols and shotguns, as well as the Saiga rifles and shotguns, though not sure if all are still produced. Doesn't HK import shotguns too?
Of course S&W, Ruger, and Beretta make all 3 as well.

Technically, so does Benelli.

And check out CZ's website:

And did anyone forget about Browning? I'd say Charles Daly, but they're officially out-of-business.

Don't get me wrong; when I first heard the statement, I thought the guy was blowing smoke, too. But I haven't been able to disprove the statement.

The guy is talking about a tactical pistol, rifle and shotgun made by a single manufacturer and sold under one brand name. In this case, it's the FNP pistol, SCAR rifle and SLP shotgun.

Ruger and Smith & Wesson make tactical pistols and rifles, but do not make tactical shotguns.

Beretta does not make tactical shotguns; those are made by its Benelli, Franchi and Stoeger subsidiaries and not sold under the Beretta name. BTW: Benelli only makes .22 caliber pistols which are not used in 3-gun practical competition. In addition, until a semi-auto version of the ARX-180 comes out, I believe the only tactical semi-automatic rifle Beretta offers is the CX4 Carbine.

Browning is owned by FN-Herstal and doesn't make tactical weapons, except maybe the Hi-Power.

CZ gets its shotguns under contract from Huglu, a Turkish manufacturer. FN makes its own.
