went to the lgs and saw a cz shadow 2.
I love CZs so I brought out 2 guns I haven't been shooting much, a ruger single 9( I find the ammo expensive for what it is) and a Henry big boy steel 357 mag(it's not a good gun for shooting groups but was fun for steel till my local range stopped letting us shoot centerfire rifles at steel except for 225 yards. no matter if they are pistol calibers).

got 380 for the Henry and 300 for the single nine.went home with the Shadow 2. it is one hefty gun.

Nice! I see one of these in my future. I'd really like to handle one first though. Typically CZ 75 models are a tad small for my hands.

Let us know how it shoots. I've only heard good things.

I like the beavertail. A lot of manufacturers have been getting stingy with the protection, lately.

CZ makes great stuff. Still looking forward to getting a CZ75, and I EDC my old CZ 70.

should shoot it tomorrow
went biking this am and would have gone shooting this afternoon but it got windy and the target frames would have been swaying.

dry fired it about 100 plus times
and adjusted the overtravel screw and greased the rails. I like the red fiber optic but i know I'll shoot more precisely if I black it out. (flare)

Kudos to CZ for continuing their classic metal-framed auto line. That's a beauty!

finally went to the range with it. shot it offhand at 10 yrs and 25 yrs. didn't touch the sights and used 115 gr fmj federal bulk and 147 gr rn pc sns casting. didn't group as well as i would have thought but I'm sure that's my eyes and the flare of the fibe optic front sight. i will black it out next trip before touching the sights.

above is 147 gr 25 yds 17 rds with 16/17 on paper

2nd pic is 115 grn at 25yrds 13/17 on paper. 20180511_114445.jpg

3rd pic is 10 yrds with 147 gr 30 rds top target and 15 rds below.

4th pic is 115 gr at 10 yrds for both with30 rds top target and bottom target is 15 rds(these were the first targets shot )

unclear if the sights were slightly off to the right but I'll try adjusting them after i black out the sights.

and it was in great condition also. i take care of my guns. i was considering sellling it to someone i see occasionally for 450. he gets a good deal and i get more than the lgs had offered. i looked into it last year as i was considering a different gun purchase but i never followed through. i would have had to bring the gun to his place of business amd who knows if he'll bargain some more or not get it.
anyway i still got more than 50% back.

Thanks for the great videos of the CZ Shadow 2! I think the accuracy potential is there once you get it dialed in.
