I bet I could make a fortune on the CCI Velocitors I have stored. :D

But, I'm not selling them. They shoot best in my 10/22. Nearly an inch at 100 yards. Not bad for me. Same rifle did horrible with Wolf Match.

Just two days ago, I saw the first rim fire ammo for sale that I have seen in months.
LGS had CCI Velocitor for $9.99 a box of 50, CCI segmented HP for $8.99 a box of 50, and Remington Thunderbolt for (choke) $4.99 a box of 50.
They also had a 100rd limit.
I didn't buy any.

On that Ebay listing there are 5 people bidding on EMPTY CCI boxes and the listing clearly states that the boxes are empty. 5 boxes and the current price including shipping is over $30? For empty boxes!
Maybe they have a bulk brick and want to organize their bullets?

People always run up the bids on their own stuff on those auctions. It's just a joke. They'll end up paying a few bucks to get a few laughs. I'm not sure what percentage eBay charges these days (it was 6% I think) so for a $30 auction that's about $1.80 plus whatever fees. They aren't supposed to do that but they always do. I've seen the same items "sell" 50 times because someone wanted a bunch of bucks for something. If you don't get a certain price for your item you don't have to pay nearly as much either BTW but they use the bids as advertising really. They are trying to make it look like the item is wanted badly. In this case they just want the joke to be funnier.

It's called "shill" bidding and is definitely frowned upon. In this case there are 4 different people who have bid on the boxes so it's probably not a shill situation.
